Questa mattina – durante il tragitto per arrivare a Calenzano,  dove oggi e domani terrò le lezioni del Master in Interior  Design per il Dipartimento di Architettura dell’Università di Firenze –  riflettevo sull’importanza dell’affermazione di Thomas Edison e sui molteplici aspetti che essa implica:  concretizzare idee e pensieri in strutture tridimensionali e funzionali è il fulcro della mia professione di architetto.
Dare quindi, agli allievi, messaggi legati al reale svolgimento delle professioni, sottolineare le modalità pratiche attraverso cui queste effettivamente si sviluppano, far entrare in accademia le tracce tangibili dell’attività lavorativa, non può che essere fondamentale per schiudere agli studenti le porte del mondo del lavoro.
Durante le mie lezioni parlo apertamente delle caratteristiche del mio fare e delle vie in cui questo si attua, senza misteri, perché soltanto grazie all’incontro ed al confronto di esperienze vissute reali ed emozionali si  possono generare grandi idee da mettere in pratica!

This morning – during the journey to arrive to Calenzano, where today and tomorrow I’ll teach in the Interior Design Master for the Architecture University of Florence – I was thinking about the importance of the Thomas Edison statement and about its many implications: transforming ideas and thoughts in three-dimensional and functional structures is the cornerstone of my being an architect.
Giving messages linked with the real execution of professions, underlining practical modalities through which they concretely develop, bringing in university the real traces of working activity, is fundamental to open to students the doors of working world.
During my lessons I openly talk about the peculiarities of my work, without mysteries , because only thanks to the meeting and the comparison among lived real and emotional experiences, we can generate good ideas to fulfill.
