Viviamo in un Paese controverso, è vero, ma questa non può e non deve essere una motivazione per frenare il nostro entusiasmo, la nostra vitalità, la nostra fantasia.
Da tempo sembra che lo sguardo ci si posi in un’unica direzione: notiziari e giornali tendono a mostrarci solo una parte della realtà in cui viviamo.
Forse però, per un momento, si può scegliere di non fermarci solo all’Italia della disoccupazione, dell’emigrazione giovanile, della politica, degli scontri, per dare spazio anche ad altro.
Non per fingere di non vedere, ma per ricordarci di guardare anche oltre.
Per ricordarci che se alziamo gli occhi dal televisore e ci guardiamo attorno, siamo circondati da un patrimonio artistico e culturale che mozza il fiato.
Per ricordarci che a dispetto della crisi, abbiamo paesaggi, monumenti, città, che nessuno ci può eguagliare, e soprattutto, che nessuno ci può portare via.
Non dobbiamo smettere di stupirci del patrimonio che possediamo, di valorizzarlo e proteggerlo, con un occhio al futuro.
Un futuro che non è fatto solo di pessimismo, né di sguardo malinconico al passato: un futuro che può puntare sull’arte e il design per risvegliare la nostra nazione.
Anche in questo momento non proprio semplice, sono numerosi gli esempi di eccellenze italiane che portano nel mondo un pezzo d’Italia che non sempre viene ricordato: sono davvero tantissimi i progettisti, gli architetti ed i designer che ogni giorno lavorano per valorizzare da un lato tutto il patrimonio artistico e culturale del nostro Paese, dall’altro che lottano per migliorare la fruizione degli spazi, dei paesaggi, delle città.
Questo attraverso la comunicazione, l’arredo urbano, la ricerca di funzionalità e di estetica che da sempre hanno caratterizzato le opere dei progettisti italiani; in un ottica di un Italia più responsabile, più attenta ai bisogni e alle necessità proprie del presente in cui viviamo e del futuro che vorremmo. Attraverso la fantasia, l’entusiasmo e la ricerca di soluzioni sempre innovative per non rimanere legati al passato, ma senza dimenticare che ne possediamo uno, presente nel nostro patrimonio genetico culturale, industriale e visivo.

We go our enthusiasm back!

We know we live in a complex country but this should not be a reason to curb our enthusiasm, our vitality, our imagination.
It seems that since a long time we are looking in only one direction, newspapers tend to show us only a part of the reality in which we live.
Perhaps, for a moment, we can choose not to look only to our country’s problems and look at its other face.
It doesn’t mean we have to pretend not to see, but it would help us to remind just to look beyond.
To remind us that if we raise the eyes from the TV and we look around, we are surrounded by an artistic and cultural heritage that takes your breath away.
To remind us that in spite of the crisis, we have landscapes, monuments, cities, that no one can match, and above all, that no one can take us away.
We must never stop to amaze us by the heritage we possess, to enhance it and protect it, with an eye to the future.
A future that is not only made of pessimism or melancholy look of the past: a future that can point on art and design to awake our nation.
Also at this time, with all of its problems, there are numerous examples of Italian excellence in the world that bring a piece of Italy that is not always mentioned: there are so many designers who work every day, on one hand to increase all the artistic and cultural heritage of our country, on the other struggling to improve the use of space, landscapes, cities.
This is possible through communication, urban design, the research of functionality and aesthetics that have always characterized the works of Italian designers; in a perspective of an Italy more responsible and focused on the needs of the present in which we live and the future that we would like. Through the imagination, the enthusiasm and the search for innovative solutions that we have one in our cultural, industrial and visual history.
