Il titolo del post di oggi ha sapore ironico ed un tono leggermente provocatorio poiché, nonostante l’argomento sia difficile, desiderio esprimere la mia opinione a proposito, viste le grandi catastrofi causate dal maltempo che hanno segnato l’Italia e non soltanto, negli ultimi giorni. Sono eventi impossibili da prevedere ma credo fermamente che la buona conoscenza ed il rispetto delle norme vigenti possano essere un buon presupposto da cui iniziare. Scrivo qualche riga affinché possa essere letta come invito a migliorare, come manifesto programmatico per chi si occupa di architettura e design. Un oggetto nel momento in cui viene creato deve farsi carico delle responsabilità che porta con sè, immaginando i futuri sviluppi e le conseguenze del suo entrare a fare parte del mondo. Un oggetto resta tale anche dopo che ha esaurito la sua funzione primaria e quindi anche di ciò che accadrà in seguito il designer deve prendere coscienza. Analizzare il contesto in cui ogni progetto prenderà forma, tenere conto delle caratteristiche che ciascun territorio racchiude, spingere sperimentazione e ricerca affinché risposte nuove possano essere date alle problematiche attuali devono essere i principi che guidano l’attività di ogni buon progettista il cui obiettivo è essere dalla parte dell’utente, favorire il suo benessere. Non perdiamo tempo, non restiamo attoniti ad aspettare che sia qualcun altro a proporci le soluzioni.

Noi architetti abbiamo il grande compito di costruire i luoghi in cui gli uomini vivono..non possiamo che farlo nel migliore dei modi possibili!!

An Architecture Against Bad Weather

The title of today’s post has an ironic taste and a slightly provocative tone because, despite the difficult topic, I want to express my point of view about the big catastrophes caused by bad weather that have marked Italy and not only in the last days. These are impossible events to predict, but I firmly believe that good knowledge and compliance with current rules can be a good starting point. I write a few lines so that it can be read as an invitation to improve, as a programmatic manifesto for architects and designers. An object when it is created must take on the responsibilities it carries with it, imagining the future developments and the consequences of its becoming part of the world. An object remains such also after it has run out of its primary function and therefore also of what will happen later the designer has to become conscious. Analyze the context in which each project will take shape, take into account the features that each territory encloses, push experimentation and research so that new responses can be given to current issues must be the guiding principles of any good designer whose goal is to be from the user, to promote its well-being. We don have to waste time, we don’t have to wait for someone else to propose solutions.

We are architects and we have the great task of building the places where men live .. we can do it in the best possible ways !!
