Ho trascorso lo scorso weekend nell’affascinate ed energetica città di Tehran, in Iran. Le giornate sono state intense e frenetiche: tra gli incontri con amici vecchi e nuovi, i progetti che iniziano a prendere forma e le visite alle magnifiche aree che compongono la città. Ho vistato il City Theatre di Tehran progettato dall’architetto Ali Sardar Afkhami nel 1960 ed aperto al pubblico nel ’72. Un manifesto della contemporaneità dell’architettura iraniana e del suo fervore intellettuale. La cultura iraniana è antica, profonda, ricca di spunti intellettuali e visivi che stimolano la mente. Mi hanno affascinato le contraddizioni di un popolo energetico ed il pensiero avanguardista che lo anima. Immagino i nostri due mondi molto vicini ed uniti dal desiderio di crescere e sperimentare le possibilità espressive ancora ignote. Rientro in Italia soddisfatto e felice del fatto che dovrò tornare presto!

New and interesting projects are already in progress!

I spent last weekend in the fascinating and energetic city of Tehran, Iran. The days were intense and frenetic: between meetings with old and new friends, projects that are starting to take shape and visits to the magnificent areas that compose the city. I visited the City Theater of Tehran designed by architect Ali Sardar Afkhami in 1960 and opened to the public in 1972. A manifesto of the contemporary Iranian architecture and its intellectual fervor. Iranian culture is ancient, deep, full of intellectual and visual cues that stimulate the mind. I was fascinated by the contradictions of an energetic population and the avant-garde thought that animates it. I imagine our two worlds very close and united by the desire to grow and experience the still unknown possibilities of expression. I come back to Italy satisfied and happy of this great experience!
