IT:
Per chi non lo sapesse – io non avevo le idee proprio chiare fino a qualche tempo fa – il Kazakistan è il più grande stato al mondo non avente accesso al mare; si definisce transcontinentale poiché situato a cavallo tra l’Europa e la Cina e la sua capitale è Astana, città in rapida evoluzione come del resto grande parte del paese, fortemente segnato dalle contraddizioni tra un forte sviluppo industriale dovuto anche all’enorme quantità di risorse minerarie presenti ed alcune aree invece ancora piuttosto povere.
I contrasti, come spesso accade, sono anima del progresso e della creatività, offrendo al pensiero la possibilità di svilupparsi secondo vie non già percorse da altri.
Il Kazakistan nel 1991 si dichiarò indipendente dall’URSS ed ora è una repubblica presidenziale guidata, fin dalla sua fondazione, da Nursultan A’bis’uly Nazarbaev.
Affascinato dunque dalla cultura kazaka, d’origine molto antica, e desideroso di confronto ed interazione ho deciso di accettare il gradito invito come ospite d’onore e relatore presso KAZBUILD, la grande fiera organizzata da Iteca e dedicata al mondo della Costruzione che in questi giorni sta animando la metropoli di Almaty.
Un’occasione interessante per cogliere l’innovazione nel panorama kazako e non soltanto, che mi ha permesso di incontrare personaggi di spicco, tra cui l’architetto Tokhtar Yeraliyvev con il quale nuove collaborazioni stanno già prendendo forma, e durante la quale ho raccontato, al vasto pubblico presente, quali sono i principi di un’architettura contemporanea destinata a vincere e porsi in vetta all’attuale mercato.
Stasera rientro in Italia soddisfatto e desideroso di intraprendere numerose altre avventure.

On the Way for Kazakhstan!
For those who do not know – I did not have clear ideas until some time ago – Kazakhstan is the largest state in the world without access to the sea; it is called transcontinental because it is located between Europe and China and its capital is Astana, a rapidly evolving city like the rest of the country, strongly marked by the contradictions between a strong industrial development also due to the huge amount of mineral resources and some areas still rather poor.
The contrast, as often happens, are the soul of progress and creativity, offering to the thought the possibility of developing along routes not already traveled by others.
Kazakhstan declared itself independent of the USSR in 1991 and is now a presidential republic led by Nursultan A’bis’uly Nazarbaev since its foundation.
So fascinated by the Kazakh culture, of very ancient origin, and eager for comparison and interaction I decided to accept the welcome invitation as a guest of honor and speaker at KAZBUILD, the great fair organized by Iteca and dedicated to the construction world that in these days is animating the metropolis of Almaty.
An interesting opportunity to seize the innovation in the Kazakh and beyond, which allowed me to meet prominent personalities, including architect Tokhtar Yeraliyvev with whom new collaborations are already taking shape, and during which I told, to the vast public present, what are the principles of contemporary architecture destined to win and place themselves at the top of the current market.
Tonight I return to Italy satisfied and eager to undertake many other adventures.
