Lo scorso giovedì sono partito per l’India accompagnato dalla cara amica e committente Gabriela Strazzeri.
Non appena atterrati a Nuova Delhi, nonostante il lungo viaggio appena affrontato, siamo subito ripartiti alla volta di Jaipur. Neanche un’ora ed eccoci arrivati!
Qui Gabriela mi ha introdotto alla vita della città estremamente suggestiva e presentato meravigliose persone tra le quali Rajesh Natani, il suo socio. Il giorno seguente siamo partiti presto alla volta di Mandava il luogo dove nascerà un coinvolgente hotel di rilievo estetico e contenutistico, un una straordinaria ed antica “Aveli” (Residenza di ricchi mercanti ottocenteschi) Un progetto affascinante che mi spingerà spesso a tornare.
La città di Mandava, nello stato federato del Rajasthan, è rimasta quasi cristallizzata, qui si respira un aria di di strepitoso passato miscelata a frammenti di desiderata contemporaneità. Caos e tranquillità pervadono gli spazi urbani, colori, profumi, visioni e trasportano lo spirito in un altra dimensione.
Ricchezza e povertà convivono fianco a fianco, il fisico e lo spirituale assottigliano la loro distanza e sembra quasi che tanti aspetti della vita che siamo soliti condurre perdano di importanza.
Un viaggio, questo, pieno di suggestioni emotive pregnanti, di sensazioni forti, sorretto dal desiderio di scoprire sia il mondo fuori sia l’interiorità.

A journey to India

Last Thursday I left for India together by my dear friend and client Gabriela Strazzeri.
As soon as we landed in New Delhi, despite the long journey we had just taken, we immediately set off for Jaipur. Not even an hour and here we are!
Here Gabriela introduced me to the extremely evocative city life and presented wonderful people including Rajesh Natani, her partner. The next day we left for Mandava the place where an involving hotel will take shape: an extraordinary and ancient “Aveli” (residence of rich nineteenth-century merchants)
A fascinating project that will often make me coming back.
The city of Mandava, in the federal state of Rajasthan, has remained almost crystallized: here you can breathe an air of amazing past mixed with fragments of desired contemporaneity. Chaos and tranquility pervade urban spaces, colors, perfumes, visions and​ move the spirit to another dimension.
Wealth and poverty live side by side, the physical and the spiritual matter thin their distance and it seems that many aspects of life loose importance.
A journey full of meaningful emotional suggestions, of strong sensations, supported by the desire to discover both the outside and the interior world.
