Sono sempre stato dell’idea che la scenografia, sia essa teatrale, cinematografica o televisiva, debba considerarsi una vera e propria forma d’arte a tutti gli effetti: l’ambiente che circonda la scena in atto non è un elemento accessorio, da relegare in secondo piano con una mera funzione di sfondo, ma rappresenta un cardine nodale, un protagonista, quando è connotato da una precisa riconoscibilità espressiva. Gli elementi scenici devono essere in grado di catturare l’attenzione dello spettatore, anche il più distratto, e comunicargli l’intima bellezza dell’architettura che, a sua volta, deve essere funzionale alla scena narrata. 

La mia consolidata attività di creatore mi ha permesso di affermarmi anche in questo campo artistico: tutti i miei progetti, infatti, siano essi legati al mondo dell’ospitalità o alla realtà domestica e non solo, sono esattamente come scenografie in cui gli individui si immergono vivendo un’esperienza sinestetica. La nostra vita è, in fondo, simile ad un lungo film fatto di protagonisti, comparse, copioni e scenografie.

Queste ultime, in quanto cornici all’interno delle quali si snodano le vicende e si distribuiscono le figure, devono essere dotate di valenze culturali ed espressive significative, prendendo, a volte, addirittura il sopravvento sulla trama.

Questo è il principio che sta alla base del mio contributo all’interno del film “Sconnessi” di Christian Marazziti che è sbarcato nelle sale cinematografiche il 22 febbraio 2018 e che sarà in onda in prima serata, 5 febbraio 2020, su canale 5. Le simmetrie armoniose dei miei arredi rimandano al ritmo incalzante della narrazione cinematografica. Le geometrie degli spazi interni arricchiscono lo scenario in maniera tanto improbabile quanto coinvolgente.

Ma questo è solo l’inizio!

I have always thought about the idea that scenography, be it theatrical, cinematographic or television, should be considered a real form of art in all respects: the environment that surrounding the scene in progress is not an accessory element, to be relegated in the background with a mere background function, but it represents a key pillar, a protagonist, when it is characterized by a precise expressive recognizability. The scenic elements must be able to capture the attention of the spectator, even the most distracted, and communicate the intimate beauty of the architecture which, in turn, must be functional to the narrated scene.

My consolidated activity as a creator has allowed me to assert myself also in this artistic field: all my projects, in fact, whether they are related to the world of hospitality or to the domestic reality and not only, are exactly like scenographies in which individuals immerse themselves living a synaesthetic experience. After all, our life is similar to a long film made up of protagonists, extras, scripts and sets.

These, as frames within which the events unfold and the figures are distributed, must have significant cultural and expressive values, sometimes even taking over the plot.

This is the principle behind my contribution in the film “Sconnessi” written by Christian Marazziti which landed in cinemas on February 22end, 2018 and which will be aired in prime time, February 5th, 2020, on “Canale 5”. The harmonious symmetries of my furnishings refer to the pressing rhythm of the cinematographic narration. The geometries of the interior spaces enrich the scenario in an unlikely as well as involving way.

But this is only the beginning!
