Ad Orano, nell’Algeria nordoccidentale, sta per prendere vita una nuova opera dedicata allo shopping ed alla condivisione. Un centro commerciale progettato con l’intento di essere il fulcro della città, una mega scultura che catalizza l’attenzione dei visitatori.
Un grande guscio in metallo avvolge un edificio tradizionale e separa lo spazio esterno dall’interno per rendere netta la divisione e tra dentro e fuori. E’ uno spazio che emana meraviglia, racchiuso, distante dal quotidiano, che di giorno offre ai visitatori la possibilità di immergersi profondamente nello shopping senza disturbo e ammalia chi vi passa accanto. Di notte la facciata fluida, dinamica, pulsa grazie alla sapiente regia illuminotecnica: i led si accendono e spengono, ed i fasci di luce provenienti dal basso completano l’inafferrabile e continua variazione di tono.

Parliamo di un’opera antidecorativa che volutamente contrasta con la tradizione locale per sorprendere ed affasciare.
La via d’accesso al centro commerciale è l’ombelico catalizzante dell’opera, l’unico punto di incontro tra due mondi diversi. Da qui scaturisce una soave fragranza che riempie le parti comuni interne e raggiunge la strada. Art Commercial Center è scritto sull’ingresso ed è l’unico segnale di senso riconoscibile. Il resto si configura come un’esperienza intima, personalizzata che ciascun visitatore deve scoprire.

A new shopping center bewitches Algeria

In Oran, in north-western Algeria, a new artwork dedicated to shopping and sharing is about to come to life.
A shopping center designed with the aim of being the center of the city, a mega sculpture that catalyzes the attention of visitors.
A large metal shell wraps around a traditional building and separates the external space from the inside to make clear the division between and inside and outside.
It is a space that exudes wonder, enclosed, far from everyday life, that during the day offers to visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in shopping activities and bewitches who pass by it.
During the night, the fluid, dynamic façade pulsates thanks to the wise lighting direction: the LEDs turn on and off and the beams of light coming from below complete the elusive and continuous variation of tone.
We are talking about an anti-decorative work that deliberately contrasts with the local tradition to surprise and fascinate.
The access road to the shopping center is the catalytic navel of the work, the only meeting point between two different worlds. From here comes a sweet fragrance that fills the internal common parts and reaches the street.
Art Commercial Center is written on the entrance and is the only sign of recognizable meaning.
The rest is configured as an intimate, personalized experience that each visitor must discover.
