L’affascinante Torre di Maiano, immersa nel verde del Parco Romantico della Regina e riflessa nell’acque del Laghetto sottostante si trova all’interno della Fattoria di Maiano a Fiesole (Fi).
È il fulcro armonico del paesaggio attorno e l’elemento centrale per il visitatore che si addentra tra la vegetazione rigogliosa e sceglie di lasciare la propria mente libera di vagare senza scopo. 

L’antica torre, attraverso il mio intervento di riqualificazione, è diventata una suite di estremo lusso in cui antico, presente e futuro si sono fusi spontaneamente e luci ed ombre hanno formato un gioco di rimandi che cattura la vista ed i sensi dell’uomo e crea aree nuove, dinamiche, inafferrabili, nell’atmosfera. 

Riqualificare gli spazi e, quindi, i pensieri che danno loro forma è proprio quanto è necessario fare oggi: ripensare l’esistente senza distruggerlo, ripartire da solide basi per costruire nuove strutture resistenti, belle, funzionali alle esigenze dell’uomo contemporaneo.

I temi che guidano la mia attività progettuale sono proprio fatti così: mai gli stessi, sempre pronti a rielaborare i concetti e diretti verso tutto ciò che è nuovo. Fin dagli esordi non ho lasciato che il mio pensiero si focalizzasse su un tipo soltanto di oggetto o di agire architettonico: ho lavorato a 360° gradi, tenendo la mente aperta. La vita è il risultato dell’addizione di tante componenti piccole quanto meravigliose, tutte fondamentali, tutte ugualmente perfette. 

Riqualificare significa comprendere la relazione che lega le componenti che formano l’organismo.
Un progetto riuscito, un’opera di ristrutturazione ben fatta, regala corrispondenze nuove all’uomo, storie mai ascoltate prima, territori da scoprire e diventa un luogo d’arte da vivere ogni giorno, abile anche nel vincere le sfide commerciali odierne.

RE-QUALIFYING THOUGHT

The fascinating Maiano’s Tower, immersed in the greenery of the Romantic Park of the Queen and reflected in the waters of the lake below, is located inside the Fattoria di Maiano in Fiesole (Florence, Italy). It is the harmonic fulcrum of the landscape around and the central element for the visitor who enters inside the lush vegetation and chooses to leave his mind free to wander.

The ancient Tower, thanks to my redevelopment, has become an extremely luxurious suite in which ancient, present, and future have merged spontaneously. 
Lights and shadows have formed a game of references that captures man’s sight and senses and creates new, dynamic, and elusive areas in the atmosphere.
Redeveloping spaces and thoughts that shape them, is what is necessary today: re-thinking the existing without destroying it, starting from solid foundations to build new resistant, beautiful and functional structures to meet the needs of contemporary man.

The themes that guide my project activity are just like that: never the same, always ready to re-work concepts and directed towards all that is new. Since the beginning I have never let my thoughts focus on a single type of object or architectural act: I worked 360° always keeping my mind open.
Life is the result of the addition of many small and wonderful components, all fundamental, all equally perfect. Requalifying means understanding the relationship that binds the components that make up the body.

A well-made redevelopment work gives new relationships to man, stories never heard before, territories to discover and becomes a place of art to live every day, able to overcome today’s commercial challenges.
