In occasione dell’Italian Design Day 2020 di Lubiana, sono stato nominato da ADI Ambasciatore del design italiano. 

Per questo ho tenuto una conferenza con l’Ambasciata d’Italia e l’Istituto di Cultura di Lubiana, lo scorso venerdì, dal titolo Pro-gettare significa guardare avanti, fare memoria per progettare il futuro in cui con passione ed entusiasmo ho raccontato il mio lavoro, le mie opere e che cosa mi spinge ogni giorno a dare una nuova forma, concreta, reale, ai pensieri: soddisfare le necessità umane e regalare ad ognuno un mondo migliore, adatto a ciò che siamo. Il mio operato è guidato dalla volontà di qualificare la vita di tutti giorni, creare un attraente connubio tra bello e funzionale, immaginando, di volta in volta, un modo nuovo per riuscirci. 

Credo fortemente nella sostenibilità ed in un futuro che sia generato da sguardi unici, oggetti iconici, spazi involucrati e involucranti, ragionamenti etici. 

Progettare significa, quindi, guardare avanti, gettare oltre, costruire un ponte per attraversare il fiume e arrivare sull’altra sponda, dove nessuno ha ancora messo piede. Il passato è fondamentale in questo processo, non si dimentica ma si interiorizza e trasforma, è la tecnica e la tenacia necessaria per la costruzione del ponte, la base da cui partire per innovare, come un prestigioso e affascinante tessuto è il principio primo per dare forma a qualunque creazione. 

Il design italiano nel mondo rappresenta l’eccellenza perché forgiato grazie alle capacità di tanti esseri umani, artigiani, creativi e pensatori che nel tempo hanno avuto il desiderio di osare, sperimentare e lavorare duramente per creare oggetti, edifici, servizi a cui nessuno aveva pensato prima. Sono orgoglioso di rappresentare il mondo del progetto italiano!

Design Ambassador 2020

On the occasion of Italian Design Day 2020 in Ljubljana, I was appointed by ADI Ambassador of Italian design. 

This is why I held a conference with the Italian Embassy and the Cultural Institute of Ljubljana last Friday, entitled “Pro-gettare significa guardare avanti, fare memoria per progettare il futuro” in which with passion and enthusiasm I told my work, my works, and what drives me every day to give a new shape, concrete, real, to thoughts: to satisfy human needs and give everyone a better world, suitable for what we are. My work is guided by the desire to qualify everyday life, to create an attractive combination of beautiful and functional, imagining, time after time, a new way to achieve it. 

I strongly believe in sustainability and in a future that is generated by unique looks, iconic objects, wrapped and enveloping spaces, ethical reasoning. 

Designing means, therefore, looking ahead, building a bridge to cross the river and get to the other side, where no one has set foot yet. The past is fundamental in this process, it is not forgotten but internalized and transformed, it is the technique and tenacity needed to build the bridge, the basis from which to innovate, as a prestigious and fascinating fabric is the first principle to give shape to any creation. 

Italian design in the world represents excellence because it is forged thanks to the skills of many human beings, craftsmen, creatives, and thinkers who over time have had the desire to dare, experiment, and work hard to create objects, buildings, services that no one had thought of before. I am proud to represent the world of Italian design!
