Quando guardo i miei figli, César e Jalel, non posso fare a meno di pensare a cosa la mia generazione sarà in grado di lasciare loro per il futuro.
È fondamentale riflettere sull’importanza dell’eredità intellettuale che proviene dal passato, non solo dai nostri genitori e progenitori ma anche dagli uomini e dalle donne che hanno vissuto prima di noi e dei quali inevitabilmente siamo spinti a ricalcare le orme.
L’eredità, così come la storia, ci aiuta a correre più veloci e gli ideali, le opere, la morale che noi seminiamo su questa terra aiuteranno le prossime generazioni a costruire l’avvenire.
Impegnamoci: pensiamo alle nostre opere, alle nostre azioni in prospettiva di un presente-futuro tutto da costruire, in cui ogni gesto sarà pregno di significato e saggezza.
Agendo sempre con passione ed insegnando con generosità, lasceremo una “buona” eredità quotidiana che ci donerà quella intangibile realtà a cui tutti aspiriamo, chiamata “immortalità”.
Ecco che riusciremo a trasmettere ai nostri figli o a coloro che, giovani virgulti, hanno sete di “sapere”, la cosa più importante: il desiderio di vivere una vita di ricerca e realizzazione della bellezza dentro e fuori di noi!

THE HERITAGE  

When I look at my children, César and Jalel, I cannot avoid thinking about what my generation will be able to leave them for the future.
It is essential to reflect on the importance of the intellectual legacy that comes from the past, not only from our parents and forefathers, but also from the men and women who lived before us and whose footsteps we are inevitably encouraged to follow.
Inheritance, like history, helps us to run faster, and the ideals, works and morals that we sow on this earth will help future generations to build the future.
Let us commit ourselves: let us think about our deeds, our actions with a view to a future-present to be built, in which every gesture will be full of meaning and wisdom.
By always acting with passion and teaching with generosity, we will leave a “good” daily legacy that will give us that intangible reality to which we all aspire, called “immortality”.
Here we will be able to pass on to our children or to those who, as young virgins, thirst for “knowledge”, the most important thing: the desire to live a life of searching for and realising the beauty within and outside ourselves!
