Viaggiare è come sognare 

Eccoci! Siamo, di nuovo, appena rientrati a casa dagli Emirati Arabi Uniti, la seconda volta in pochi mesi. Roberta ed io ci portiamo dietro molti bei ricordi, contatti che ormai sono amici, una moltitudine di esperienze, tante opportunità che si avviano a prendere forma. 

Tra queste c’è il modulo fashion che ho ideato per Capri lifestyle, l’azienda fondata a Dubai dalla designer italiana Filomena Trojano. Un modulo elegante, fresco e frizzante che mostra, senza filtri, il design e la moda italiani ai visitatori di tutto il mondo. Uno spazio altro, concentrato, raccolto,  immaginato per accogliere l’uomo contemporaneo in una lussuosa e raffinata atmosfera di bellezza. Un’idea nata con l’intento di innovare ogni tipo di ambiente esterno per trasformare le azione quotidiane in esperienze uniche, che divengono indelebile memoria. 

Per Al Murrabbaa Arts Festival, invece, realizzerò e curerò un’esibizione totalmente dedicata all’Italian style. Saranno dieci giorni rivolti all’arte e al design che si svolgeranno tra ottobre e novembre 2021 nell’Emirato di Ajman, una terra in crescita e alla ricerca di nuovi stimoli. La mostra si configurerà come un luogo prezioso da attraversare, composto da oggetti straordinari realizzati ad hoc, sotto la mia sapiente guida, dalle aziende italiane con cui ho stretto una partnership. Sarò l’unico rappresentate del mondo del progetto italiano invitato al festival, per questo, con estrema cura, racconterò al pubblico l’anima pulsante e sperimentale che è il cuore del know-how nostrano. 

“Viaggiare è come sognare – scrisse Edgar Allan Poe –  la differenza è che non tutti, al risveglio, ricordano qualcosa, mentre ognuno conserva calda la memoria della meta da cui è tornato”. È così per me e per Roberta. Abbiamo vissuto giorni intensi tornano in una delle sedi operative del nostro studio. La  rete di esperienze, contatti, conoscenze è divenuta più ricca e proficua e la nostra mente più aperta.

Traveling is like dreaming 

Here we are again, just back home from the United Arab Emirates, the second time in a few months. Roberta and I bring back with us many good memories, contacts that are now friends, a multitude of experiences, many opportunities that are starting to take shape. 

Among these, there is the fashion module I created for Capri lifestyle, the company founded in Dubai by Italian designer Filomena Trojano. An elegant, fresh and sparkling module that shows, without filters, Italian design and fashion to visitors from all over the world. A different, concentrated, cosy space, imagined to welcome the contemporary man in a luxurious and refined atmosphere of beauty. An idea born with the intention of innovating every kind of outdoor environment to transform everyday actions into unique experiences that become indelible memories. 

For the Murrabbaa Arts Festival, on the other hand, I will create and curate an exhibition totally dedicated to Italian style. It will be ten days dedicated to art and design that will take place between October and November 2021 in the Emirate of Ajman, a growing land in search of new stimuli. The exhibition will be a precious place to walk through, made up of extraordinary objects created ad hoc, under my expert guidance, by Italian companies with which I have formed a partnership. I will be the only representative of the world of Italian design invited to the festival, so I will carefully tell the public about the pulsating and experimental soul that is the heart of our know-how. 

“Travelling is like dreaming – wrote Edgar Allan Poe – the difference is that not everyone, upon waking up, remembers something, while everyone keeps warm the memory of the destination from which he returned”. This is how it is for Roberta and me. We experienced intense days returning to one of our studio’s operating locations. The network of experiences, contacts and knowledge has become richer and more fruitful and our minds more open.
