Pionieri dell’inclusione, dell’innovazione e della rivoluzione sociale, Ajman University è una prestigiosa istituzione che contribuisce a fare dell’omonimo emirato un polo culturale e di attrazione per studenti che arrivano da ogni parte del mondo. Fondata nel 1988 è stata la prima università privata, non convenzionale, nei paesi del Gulf Cooperation Council.

Affascinati dalla meraviglia che prende forma quando saperi, abilità, visioni e competenze differenti si incontrano per dare vita a nuove prospettive di conoscenza io, Roberta e il nostro dinamico staff abbiamo iniziato una proficua collaborazione con l’Università di Ajman, grazie alla direttrice, vivace e illuminata, Dina Ibrahim. Tutto è iniziato qualche mese fa, lo scorso ottobre quando siamo stati invitati al Al Murabba Arts Festival, un evento ricco di stimoli e commistioni, per il quale ho realizzato la mostra “PRECIOUS GEMS BY ME FOR YOU”, esempio eccellente di connubio tra l’irriproducibile qualità del made in Italy e le tradizioni locali. Lì, nel distretto che circonda il Museo di Ajman, con l’Università abbiamo realizzato il primo workshop, un successo che ha dato vita a sorprendenti novità. Non ci siamo più fermati!

Nei prossimi mesi, attraverso la combinazione di visioni e sguardi che abbiamo creato, prenderà vita un nuovo laboratorio di idee e concetti, “Hybrid Design Restaurant”, un’esperienza unica che intendiamo offrire agli studenti di ogni nazione, che frequentano l’avanguardistica scuola. Al fine di trasmettere gli strumenti necessari e la filosofia che anima i progetti di hospitaliy and exhibition design ai quali do forma da anni con distintività e successo. “Make it Happen” è il motto che caratterizza l’Università di Ajman e, in verità, è molto simile anche al fil rouge che sottende il mio fare progettuale che non si ferma davanti ai limiti ma li oltrepassa con arguzia, per trasformare i sogni in realtà.

Make it happen! New partnerships light the way

A pioneer in inclusion, innovation, and social revolution, Ajman University is a prestigious institution that contributes to making the emirate of the same name a cultural hub and attraction for students from all over the world. Established in 1988, it was the first private, unconventional university in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Fascinated by the wonder that takes shape when different knowledge, skills, visions, and competencies meet to give life to new perspectives of knowledge, Roberta and our dynamic staff have started a fruitful collaboration with Ajman University, thanks to the lively and enlightened director, Dina Ibrahim. It all started a few months ago, last October, when we were invited to the Al Murabba Arts Festival, an event rich in stimuli and mixes, for which I created the exhibition “PRECIOUS GEMS BY ME FOR YOU”, an excellent example of the marriage between the irreproducible quality of Italian-made products and local traditions. There, in the district that surrounds the Ajman Museum, we held the first workshop with the University, a success that gave rise to surprising new developments. We haven’t stopped since then!

In the coming months, through the combination of visions and outlooks that we have created, a new workshop of ideas and concepts will come to life, “Hybrid Design Restaurant”, a unique experience that we intend to offer to students from every nation who attend the avant-garde school. In order to pass on the necessary tools and the philosophy that animates the hospitality and exhibition design projects to which I have been giving shape for years with distinction and success. “Make it Happen” is the motto that characterizes Ajman University and, to tell the truth, it is also very similar to the fil rouge that underlies my design work, which does not stop at limits but wittily goes beyond them to transform dreams into reality.
