Chi definisce cosa è reale? Che cos’è il mondo attorno a noi se non la percezione e la conoscenza che noi abbiamo di questo?  La tecnologia è un mezzo a cui gli esseri umani hanno dato forma per implementare le esistenze, renderle sempre più soddisfacenti, confortevoli e responsabili. 

Negli ultimi anni il progresso corre veloce, così tanto che per i non addetti ai lavori è difficile mantenere il ritmo. É aumentato il divario tra vita quotidiana e range di possibilità offerto dalla tecnologia, è complicato per la maggior parte delle persone avere accesso “al progresso” per i costi e l’elevata specificità dei temi. Da non molto c’è un’enorme novità, che coinvolge tutti e che è destinata a stravolgere le vite di quante più persone possibili. Si tratta del metaverso, una realtà parallela, un mondo virtuale a cui per accedere bastano una connessione internet e pochi click. Il nome è vecchio, è stato coniato nel 1992 da uno scrittore di fantascienza cyberpunk, ma contemporaneo è il suo diventare concreto, reale, alla portata di tutti noi. 

Ci hanno investito le più importanti aziende internazionali, ci credono in tanti e tra questi ci sono anche io. Siamo nell’istante in cui abbiamo l’opportunità di costruire mondi innovativi, sulla base dei nostri desideri, in cui ciò che immaginiamo può realizzarsi. Universi paralleli attraverso i quali divenire altro, attraverso i quali vivere esperienze altre, esplorare il vasto panorama di conoscenze che la mente ci offre.

Questa nuova dimensione mi affascina, mi carica di stimoli! Un nuovo mondo da realizzare con ibride e contaminate regole. Sto iniziando il progetto di un museo per il metaverso, un’opera dedicata all’arte che ancora una volta, mi invita a oltrepassare le barriere del conosciuto. A mettermi in gioco, ad affrontare nuove sfide. Abbiamo tutti, tra le nostre mani, l’opportunità di plasmare una nuova realtà. Ciò che è importante è acquisire la consapevolezza del passo che stiamo compiendo, non smettere di sognare per immaginare esistenze migliori, non dimenticarci che se siamo su questa terra è perché abbiamo delle responsabilità e che l’emozione di un bacio, quello vero, è difficilmente replicabile altrove.

A museum in the Metaverse 

Who defines what is real? What is the world around us if not our perception and knowledge of it?  Technology is a means by which human beings have given shape to implement existences, making them more and more satisfying, comfortable, and responsible. 

In recent years, progress has been so fast that it is difficult for the non-expert people to keep up with the pace. The gap between everyday life and the range of possibilities offered by technology has widened, and it is complicated for most people to have access to ‘progress’ because of the cost and high specificity of the topics. But in the last few months, there has been enormous news, which involves everyone and is destined to change the lives of as many people as possible. It is the metaverse, a parallel reality, a virtual world that can be accessed with just an internet connection and a few clicks. The name is old, it was coined in 1992 by a writer of cyberpunk science fiction, but what is contemporary is its becoming concrete, real, within the reach of all of us. 

The most important international companies have invested in it, many believe in it and I am one of them. We are in the instant in which we can build innovative worlds, based on our desires, in which what we imagine can come true. Parallel universes in which we can be what we have not been able to do until now, test ourselves as human beings, explore the vast panorama of knowledge that the mind offers us. 

This new dimension fascinates me, it fills me with stimuli! A new world to be realized with hybrid and contaminated rules. I am starting the project of a museum for the metaverse, a work dedicated to art that once again invites me to go beyond the barriers of the known. To get involved, to face new challenges. We all have in our hands the opportunity to shape a new reality. We all have, in our hands, the opportunity to shape a new reality. What is important is to become aware of the step we are taking, not to stop dreaming to imagine better existences, not to forget that if we are on this earth, it is because we have responsibilities and that the emotion of a kiss, a real one, is difficult to replicate elsewhere.
