Un racconto esperienziale 

La contemporaneità è un presente in continuo divenire. La creazione, in questo tempo sganciato dal pensiero del passato e del futuro, porta ad immaginare qualcosa che ancora non esiste. La mostra ‘Simone Micheli – Design Artwork from Dream to Reality’, allestita all’Accademia delle Arti e del Disegno a Firenze, rappresenta una metafora della impellente necessità di creare sapendo vedere oltre, attingendo ad uno spazio senza tempo. La distanza tra le opere classiche esposte ordinariamente in Accademia, e i progetti di più recente data, si annulla allo spettatore capace di vedere nell’arte libertà e pluralità di forme. Dal sogno alla realtà, il titolo rappresenta una sapiente ricostruzione del mio vissuto personale in grado di divenire grande racconto esperienziale. Le opere che ho scelto di esporre, riportano alla mente i 30 e più lustri di attività professionale, custodendo al loro interno radici di idee, che si pongono come stimoli al pensiero presente e guide al futuro. 

An experience-based story 

Contemporaneity is a present in continuous evolution. Creation, in this time detached from the thought of the past and the future, leads to imagining something that does not yet exist. The exhibition ‘Simone Micheli – Design Artwork from Dream to Reality’, currently on display at the Accademia delle Arti e del Disegno in Florence, is a metaphor for the urgent need to create knowing how to see beyond, Drawing on a timeless space. The distance between classical works usually exhibited in the Academy, and contemporary projects, is nullified when the viewer is able to see in the freedom of art and the plurality of forms. From dream to reality, the title, represents a wise reconstruction of my personal experience able to become a great experiential story. The works on display bring to mind my 30 and more lustres of professional activity, guarding within them roots of ideas, which are placed as stimuli to the present thought and guides to the future.
